FilmTracker is a virtual gathering place for development executives tracking literary properties, talent and industry trends. Industry executives create private, secure groups where they can exchange information with other group members on new creative content coming into the market for bid. Originally a job done on the phone, tracking has in recent years "gone digital", facilitating the transmission of up-to-the-minute information on new material. Back to top What is a tracking board? A tracking board is essentially an online message board that has been customized for the specific task of tracking literary properties entering the marketplace. Members can log new entries, or update existing entries with new news on a particular project. Furthermore, all information is archived, enabling members to search historical data with ease. Back to top What is a tracking group? The term "tracking group" means "members of a particular tracking board". Tracking groups are most often formed by a number of development executives who know and trust one another enough to share highly sensitive information on a regular basis. Many tracking groups have been around for years - over time, group members gain a further understanding of one another's creative goals, and can help one another identify projects that are consistent with their taste in material. All you need to create a Tracking Group is to register with BaselineFT and have the email addresses for the people you would like to invite to your new group. Once you have registered, you can create a name for your new group, decide whether you want the group to be Private or Public, and we will take care of the rest. You and your group members are the only people that have access to your group. In fact, unless you create a Public group that is open to any BaselineFT member, no one using the site will even know that you have a group. The information you post to your Tracking Board is not accessible, viewable, or editable by anyone except your group members. You are responsible for the information posted and controlling whom you invite into your group. Back to top How do I join an existing tracking group? BaselineFT offers placement services to members wishing to join an existing tracking group. Writers must have received coverage from a reputable company, including ScriptShark, to be listed here. However, they may have been "Passed" on by our analysts.
